The Boyertown Pace girls team formed in 2007 as a U8 team playing in Upper Bucks Soccer League for a year of development in a U9 division. The following year, the team moved over to Reading Berks Junior Soccer League - finishing our first season in 2nd place behind Twin Valley. In 2009/2010 we stayed in RBJSL and finished the season in 1st place, one point ahead of Twin Valley. Up next - a move to PAGS!
So, why the name "Pace"? Pace, in soccer terms, refers to speed. The team name is a reflection of how we are looking to learn this game. While patience remains an important part of soccer, once a decision is made it must be executed with PACE. The team name acts as a constant reminder of what we are looking to develop - a group of players who are prepared to run with pace, pass with pace, shoot with pace, think with pace, and on and on.

Members of the Boyertown Pace came together in a team event and went into Philadelphia to watch our hometown Union play against FC Dallas recently. The event represented the first pro soccer game for many of the Pace players - and they got to see a fun game that ended with 1st Overall Pick, Danny Mwamba, scoring his first MLS goal. Not only that, but the goal came in the 3rd minute of a 4-minute stoppage time and was voted MLS Goal of the Week.
At halftime, Head Coach Jason Pratt escorted two players from the Pace team down to the field where the Club and the Team were acknowledged along with a small handful of others. Madison Pratt and Madison Sherk enjoyed the halftime events as they got to walk through the tunnel at halftime past the players and coaches from both teams who were on their way to the locker room. Good to be the coach's daughter... sometimes! :-)
